I am posting this from another board: I know we have quite a few members in Ohio where this family is re-locating.

Some of you know me and some don't. I have 2 awesome family members that due to this economy that I can not keep. My oldest boy is Beau he is about 5 1/2 years old and awesome (unless your a cat) I rescued him from a county pound about 3 yrs ago. He is Brindle and on the smaller size about 155 lbs, he is neutered and VERY well behaved. This is my heart dog and I love him very much, but we are moving back to Ohio from Florida and the family member we will be staying with will not allow my boys to come and our only other option is homelessness (and NO I am Not being dramatic, it has got that bad). Beau had a very rough life before us and it is very important for me that he goes to a home that will provide the love and attention that he needs.

My other boy is going to be 8 mo. old 11/04/08. I waited for him very impatiently as some can remember right on this site. He is Fawn with a goofy personality. He has limited registration with the AKC. His breeder is Jamie Smith, and I have Her permission to try to find him a home (to recoup some financial investment, if not Jamie will take him back). Anybody interested in him will need to be approved by Jamie and myself. His parents are Beowulfs native song of Tala and Beowulfs Montecore. His name is Sanuk and he will need to be registered under Stone Horses name. For those that know me they know this is the last thing I could ever believe i would have to do, for those that don't this is breaking my heart. Please help my boys.

I have newer pics of Sanuk but my internet connection is slow. if you look through my posts you will find pics of him.

Thanks for reading,
Kim

Beau is very well trained and great on lead, but hates cats. Sanuk knows his commands but can be stubborn. He is well behaved fine with cats but leash training has been rough.

UPDATED!

Update:
My husband and I have been talking and we really can not give up my older boy he is my heart and I have interviewed people that seem awesome and i just can't do it, one gentleman said he would feel guilty adopting Beau because i just love him too much. I have also spoke to some people that i highly value their opinion. With Sanuk He has a safe place to stay with Jamie, and i could get him back when we are on our feet, but I feel this could be damaging to him and so do others I have spoke with, if it would only be a month then it would be alright but it could be 6-8 months and that would mean he would be displaced twice instead of once due to me not being willing to do whats best for him. So with Sanuk I would like to find a family that he can call his home not put him in limbo. Any help with placing the puppy will be appreciated.
with Beau I just can't give him up my husband and I decided to bring him with us and hope for the best. I would like though if I could find a temporary foster for him, so that he is secure( but i need to get him back, with Beau I think I would need less then 2 months, he is easy to introduce to landlords, everybody loves him) otherwise we plan on calling in favors on all family and friends until we guilt someone. but a mastiff person would be best. Yes there is a difference for time needed because Beau is easier to get approved on because of his age and calmness, the other reason for the time difference is time needed, the puppy needs my attention and with us trying to get back to a position of security he will get less then he deserves, Beau is easy if he is fed and at my feet he is happy. Yes I would love to keep them both but I will be pushing it with Beau and if I let Sanuk stay at Jamies and then take him back, that will be for my own selfish reasons, if it comes to that I will but I do not believe that is best for him. Thanks for everyone who has offered advise and knowledge in this difficult situation. But I hope to only need temporary short term care for Beau he will not be going into rescue, Yes I am selfish but I believe he will be unhappy without me also. And I would like help placing Sanuk, but that needs to be done with Jamies approval.

Thanks,
Kim

Placing one of your babies is such a difficult decision, I personally know this, I think it really depends on the dog and you, and what you believe is best for them, sometimes they are better off with you, and some times their not. It's like being a parent, you make the best decision for your child, and hope that later you will know for sure it was the right one, if you do what your heart tells you, you can't go wrong.
